She is an English language teacher and teacher trainer who is passionate about quality educational & training services (2009- Now). She guides professionals to revamp their skills using a sustainable digital approach. She has taught different age groups within the private and public sectors. She is an active member of various teachers' associations worldwide and the Chair for the Partnerships for Sustainable Education Special Interest group in TEFL Kuwait. Dr. Nellie is a Canadian education technology specialist who organizes online professional development programs using Moodle and other edtech tools for educators worldwide. She combines technology with mindfulness, peer learning, and teamwork in her teaching programs. She is a relationship-based mentor, researcher, writer, speaker, and community builder. Her teaching experience of 40 years ranges from teaching English as a foreign language (EFL/ESL) in high school and higher education, teaching listening, mindfulness, emerging technology such as Generative AI and leadership courses (Atlantic University), academic writing (Teachers College), English for Academic Purposes (Colleges) to teaching how to manage Moodle installations and Moodle teacher training. She’s currently the co-chair of TESOL CALL-IS and faculty at Immersive Technologies (IMT) Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality MSc Program Department of Computer Science at the International Hellenic University.
