We are thrilled to announce that the Electronic Village Online (EVO) is once again opening its virtual doors and inviting thought-provoking proposals for its upcoming 2024 round of sessions. Whether you’ve been part of our mission in the past or are entirely new to our online community, we heartily invite you to share your invaluable insights and inspire English language educators worldwide. Our focus lies in any topic pertinent to teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL), and we’re excited to see what 2024 will bring!
A little history for our newcomers: Since its establishment in 2001, EVO has been an online counterpart to the Electronic Village (EV), a dedicated project under the TESOL CALL Interest Section. Our primary mission? To foster an environment for free online professional development sessions aimed at language teachers from every corner of the globe. For a detailed understanding of what we represent, please read “WHAT IS EVO?”.
For those interested in moderating a session, we’ve laid out the details of our proposal submission process in the “EVO24 Call for Proposals”. Not only will you find a comprehensive timeline and helpful guidelines, but you can also avail of our free Moderator Professional Development (MOD PD) course to equip you with everything you need to deliver a successful session.
To get a feel for what we’ve accomplished in the past and the type of proposals that have enriched our platform, feel free to explore the “EVO Previous Sessions” archive.
