Free Books for Students and Lifelong Learners

Fiction and non-fiction books, especially school textbooks for higher education, can be expensive for students in school and for lifelong learners in or out of the school system.

Yet, there are many sites that offer free reading and downloads. Many learners are not aware of the free open education resources and free publications that are available online.

I will be updating and sharing such resources in this post.

One such gold mine of amazing books that will capture your appetite for learning can be found at Ryerson University. Toronto, Ontario, Canada https://www.ryerson.ca. Ryerson offers their books via a press called Press Books (PB).

Readers are given a few choices. They can read directly from the site, download the books as PDF files and read them on their favourite device or print them out. Here’s the link to the catalogue of the books: https://pressbooks.library.ryerson.ca/catalog/
